Biography

From Brazil to Berlin: Marcos Feminella’s Drumming Journey

Marcos Feminella’s passion for music ignited in the nineties when he began learning drums by playing along to songs from iconic rock and metal acts of the time. Bands like Nirvana, Metallica, and Helloween, as well as classics like Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, and Rush, were among his favorites.

By the early 2000s, Marcos was already performing professionally in bars in his hometown of Florianópolis, Brazil. Realizing his potential and driven to deepen his musical knowledge, he sought out lessons from top Brazilian musicians and actively participated in numerous drum workshops and festivals.

Marcos soon started teaching drums and playing in progressive metal bands, such as Stormental, with whom he toured Europe twice. His dedication to both education and performance continued to grow.

In 2014, Marcos moved to Berlin, where he expanded his career in music education and joined several bands for recordings and performances across Europe.

Today, Marcos is a member of Katre, an instrumental post-rock band, and Caspar Brötzmann Massaker, known for its unique, heavy guitar sound (under Exile On Mainstream Records). He also plays with Dominum, a rising German power metal band signed with Napalm Records, which has already graced the stages of major festivals like Graspop in Belgium and RockHarz in Germany.

Marcos Feminella’s journey reflects his enduring commitment to music, both as a passionate educator and a dynamic performer.
